I had surgery about a year ago to remove 3 "chocolate" tumors and an ovary due to my endometriosis, the only thing any doctor will tell me is that I need to be on birth control to help keep these tumors from occurring again. Unfortunately, my current OB/GYN won't return my calls or refill my prescription, so I have been off birth control for about 2 months. What I am wondering is how likely is it that my body is going to start producing these painful tumors again? Should I be concerned that I'll need to have another surgery?

or:I wouldn't worry about having to have surgery at this point, but it's important that you get back on you birth control if it will help keep it at bay. If your obgyn isn't answering inform your normal physician to see if he will order them. I would also find a new obgyn. I would also physically go over to the clinic of your current obgyn and speak to the manager of the clinic. If you have continually contacted you physician and they aren't answering it can be a form of neglect. Doctors can not just ignore you. That is a way of making your health worse which is against the law. Please don't let this go on.
