I’ve also lived in Idaho, Alberta, and throughout Ireland.I was a professional chef for more than a decade, cooking in restaurants in Canada, Ireland and the US. I also have written a lot (food culture and history, pop culture, science, and poetry) and served for several years on the editorial board of TN2 Magazine. I’ve also served shorter stints as the editor of other indie magazines.I earned my B.A. in Mathematics at Trinity College Dublin with an emphasis on pure maths and statistics. My interests include the history of mathematics, combinatorics, and knots. I won an award for my paper on subglacial Antarctic volcanoes. My undergraduate thesis was on Archimedes and the conceptual origins of integral calculus.I’m a member of the board of directors of the Southwest Nova Pride Association, a non-profit supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ people in the Tri-Counties area of Nova Scotia.In my free time, I enjoy walking on the beach and knitting.Proudly powered by WordPress | Theme: Isola by WordPress.com.
