Aldus Up also promotes training initiatives to build publishers' capacity to produce born accessible publications through the use of technologies. Audience Development Book fairs are key events for publishers to engage directly with readers and with professionals. Starting from the analysis of best practices for audience development, Aldus Up supports European book fairs in the design and pilot of new formats for reading promotion and for professional programs, as well as to engage with new groups of readers, such as linguistic minorities, migrants, people with disabilities. Digital Innovation In digital era, book-fairs are called to change their format to offer book professionals new ways to develop their skills and to use digital technologies.  Aldus organises innovative events and offers publishing professionals dedicated content resources to cope with the digital shift. Internationalisation Aldus fosters the internationalisation of book fairs exhibition so as to support the transnational mobility of European literary works and book professionals, building new collaboration opportunities through networking and dedicated events Literature Promotion National book fairs are the most important appointment for  books and reading promotion. Aldus explores the potential of events and initiatives for literature promotion to  stimulate the translations of European literary works, working in collaboration with the European Union Prize for Literature Publishing markets Translations Umberto Eco said in a very famous sentence: “The language of Europe is translation”. This is true also when we look for effective ways for the circulation of literary works across Europe and internationally.
