It’s an illustrated guide to making the most of roommate life. It’s full of flowcharts, art, short essays and hypotheticals that celebrate friendship and roommate life. Chipper Things I founded Chipper Things (2.0) in 2016, as I completed my Adobe Creative Residency. We launched with over 80 products, and now the line includes flowcharts, pins, hats, art prints, cards and more. We're in dozens of retail stores across the US and Canada.I'm the creative director, web designer, social media manager (and content creator), illustrator, product developer, CEO, intern and everything in between.Photo credit: Top photos: Aundre LarrowMaking it Up As I Go Tee (white background): Lindsey Grace WhiddonPaper mask photo: Sydney Whitten New Tubby Todd Packaging I redesigned Tubby Todd’s packaging system. I talk about inspiration, warm ups, sketching, digitizing, using Adobe Illustrator to manipulate shapes, adding color palettes and more. This is a great class for anyone interested in learning how to digitize their drawings, or just learn the basics of the program. The class is available now.Sign up today! The Mama Book The Mama Book 2.0, by Andrea Faulkner Williams, was released in 2021. Illustrations: Me!Design: Seohee ChoPhotography: Neighbors Creative Adobe Creative Residency Ad I incorporated my Charleston beach pattern into an ad for Adobe in the San Francisco Art Quarterly.—Process:drawn > scanned (I could have used the Capture app because it would have been faster for what I ended up doing) > image trace in Illustrator > live paint >created a repeating pattern Ruthie Lindsey Deck Ruthie Lindsey is a Nashville-based speaker and stylist whose work has been featured in Darling Magazine, The Great Discontent, Better Homes & Gardens, Lonny, and Design* Spongeto name a few.Ruthie speaks on living a rich, beautiful life in the midst of brokenness and pain, and I had the honor of designing her deck. I decided to do a few illustrations (where she didn't have photos) and emphasize her pictures with frames cut out of construction paper. I went this route for two reasons. 1)I knew this called for something simple and minimal, as to not distract from her powerful story. 2) I wanted to experiment with the process of taking something apart (like cutting paper) and putting it back together for the sake of creating something entirely new. Ruthie's journey wasn't all by choice, but what she's decided to make of it is a powerful testament to humanity's capacity for both resilience and love. Enamel Pins Various enamel pins created for Chipper Things. Intercom Illustrations Editorial Illustrations created for the Intercomblog. You can see (and read) them here, here and here. We worked together to come up with over 200 illustrations to make these lessons POP. Hand Lettering Various hand lettering projects. The top 3 are for Tubby Todd. Design Milk I partnered with Design Milk to show users how to use the Adobe mobile apps, like Adobe Draw, to enhance their work. Check out the full tutorial here. Dallas Children's Magazine Font Design Mama's Sauce: Holiday Drawliday In December 2015 I led a workshop at Mama’s Sauce called, “Holiday Drawliday,” where we walked through a series of prompts. Attendees drew their version as we went along. It was kind of like a Paint by Numbers and Choose Your Own Adventure mash up. Everybody took home one of my 18×24″ screen printed posters and a letterpressed image bank (courtesy of Mama’s Sauce,Creative Cloud and Creative Live.) More Flowcharts Custom flowcharts for Esperos SOHO, Man Repeller, Allure Magazine, 10 Days and Chipper Things. Allure Flowchart I created this flowchart for Allure's September 2015 issue. It was later used for ban.do's 2017-2018 agenda. Silly Fun Things More for silly or fun purposes. Austin Map for Spearhead Map created for Spearhead Properties to showcase their locations in the context of Austin's iconic landmarks. Ban.do Agenda I was more than excited when one of my favorite brands asked to license my Bangs Flowchart for their best-selling product. Ban.do for the win!
