We named the company Canard because of our love of ducks and everything french, not rumors.This is a Bird of a Different VentureYou know the age old question — if you were a bird, what type of bird would it be? It's important to know who you are as an entrepreneur. And what I've learned about myself over the years is that I'm not made out to be a vulture. I'm a duck. Un canard, en français. Yes, I’m now a venture capitalist, but I am more comfortable paddling like hell under water with my entrepreneurial flock than vulturing over the scraps of startups on the surface. Don't get me wrong though, I love to see the businesses I invest in soar. The difference with me is that I do everything I can do to help them, because I’m in it with them. Which is why I only invest in people and ideas that I’m truly passionate about.I founded Canard Ventures in 2014 as a small holding company for some of my early investments. It quickly grew to be the cornerstone of my professional endeavors. Through Canard I invest in startups, incubate in-house ventures, and collaborate on design and architecture projects.
