In 2018, CIMM became an affiliate of the non-profit Advertising Research Foundation (ARF) and has now expanded our membership to all types of companies in the TV/premium video ecosystem, including pay TV operators, research and technology vendors and consultants.CIMM members explore, identify, and collaborate in the development of new methodologies and approaches to audience measurement through proof-of-concept pilot studies with independent measurement companies, as well as through Whitepapers and documents outlining Best Practices. Our goal is to bring greater transparency and confidence to new forms of cross-platform measurement of TV/premium video. Our primary areas of focus are:What are the opportunities and challenges of using return path data from set-top boxes and smart TV’s to measure viewing of television? What solutions can be developed to measure use of TV/premium video across all the many platforms and devices now available?Download our BEST PRACTICES IN COMBINING SMART TV (ACR) AND SET TOP BOX DATA WHITEPAPERTelevision Data Interoperability & Household ID Resolution Design InitiativeDOWNLOAD OUR TV ATTRIBUTION WHITEPAPER (2020)Download our TV Attribution Provider Guide (2019)Our Coalition Print FriendlyCollaborative Effort.Meaningful Change.LexiconNewsActive RFPsJoin Now“It has never been more crucial for the industry to advance cross-platform measurement and television attribution, but this within itself cannot be achieved in silos. That’s where CIMM comes in.”Colleen Fahey RushEVP, Chief Research Officer, ViacomCBS“At a time where cross-platform video measurement is continuing to advance and a variety of methodologies and technologies for doing so are competing in the marketplace, the need for CIMM as an industry body representing the needs of all segments is greater than ever to help ensure development of solutions that work for the ad ecosystem as a whole.”Julie DeTraglia, EVP, Head of Research, Insights and AnalyticsHulu & Disney“To bring the best in class cross-platform advertising technology to our clients, we need to ensure that the industry is developing it in a manner that best suits our needs.
