We put time, passion, and pure ingredients into our sweet delights, and the results are worth it! What we don’t make ourselves we bring in from the best shops sharing our passion for quality ingredients.Flavors on ScoopWith a focus on fresh and local, our flavors change with the season an availability. We have some classics that are always on the menu, but you'll have to stop into the shop to find out what's on scoop for the day! ClassicsOur classic flavors include traditional flavors like Vanilla Bean, Cookies and Cream, Dark Chocolate, and Salted Caramel and a blend from our friends across the street at Archetype Coffee. We also pay homage to butterbrickle, first introduced in the 1920s by the Blackstone Hotel. SignaturesOur signature flavors celebrate the bounties of the season, flavors not typically associated with ice cream, and our plays on our favorite foods and drinks.Sauces & ToppingsHot FudgeSalted CaramelSeasonal Fruit CompoteWhipped CreamWhipped Coconut Cream (vegan)SprinklesBrownie ChunksGraham CrumbleAmarena CherriesTreats & DrinksIce PopsIce Cream SandwichesFloatsLocal Root Beer on-TapArtisan Bottled SodasBottled WaterLocally grown, locally made, locally eaten About ConeflowerA Chef, a Garden, a DreamTo a chef, fresh, pure ingredients are inspiration points. They beckon and call at ideas deep in a chef’s mind. They’re tantalizing and thrilling and enticing. Add a gardening passion that manifests during Nebraska winters as hours of perusing heirloom seed catalogs dreaming of warm days, blue skies, and bountiful harvests. Mix it together with a passion for artisan ice cream, and the result is Coneflower Creamery, a beautiful dream aimed at bringing farm-fresh ingredients to customers in the shape of a cone. Why ConeflowerThose winter hours dreaming of gardening also played a large part in naming the ice cream shop. Coneflowers are a native wildflower with brilliant magenta and orange coloring that brings to mind the Midwest, open prairies, and summer. What better name than something bright, cheery, and pleasant. Coneflowers are also believed to have healing benefits, something we believe ice cream has as well!Brian LangbehnFounder, chef, & scoopologistBrian began his culinary journey as a pastry assistant in Chicago at the dessert nightclub, Sugar. Pastry chef Christine McCabe introduced him to the art of making ice cream. After Chicago, Brian spent the summer cooking along Italy's Amalfi Coast and eating gelato every day. Back in the U.S., Brian landed the pastry chef position at 801 Chophouse, and would eventually work his way up to become executive chef. During this time he hired Katie Arant to be his pastry chef, with whom he often discussed his dream of opening a farm to table ice cream shop. He is ecstatic that his vision of small batch, locally sourced artisan ice cream has become reality!Katie Arant Co-owner, chef, & ice cream artisanKatie has had experience creating pastries in Omaha at M's Pub, Le Voltaire, and 801 Chophouse. In 2012, her career took her to Napa Valley, California, where she worked at some of the areas most renowned restaurants including Bottega, Coqueta, and Thomas Keller's Bouchon Bakery. When Katie recieved a mysterious voicemail from Brian, she knew he was finally ready to open Coneflower Creamery. Her love of making ice cream brought her back to Nebraska, where her creativity and experience allows her to craft unique, locally inspired flavors. What Does Farm to Cone Mean?Farm to cone means knowing where our ingredients come from, ensuring they’re fresh, and changing our offerings based off what’s in season or available.
