Check the CFS Newsletter.The lists daily concerts and open sings.Corvallis Folklore Society GroupsContra Dancing in CorvallisCFS contra dances have resumed!… with a limited number of dancers, masks, proof of vaccination and lots of hand washing.Covid contra dance policy: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kPSjBUnfERTXI-5DsC3X7RFPr2NQt_4h/viewCheck the calendar for dates.For now, CFS contra dance evenings in Corvallis will be once per month in March, April, May and JuneEach year on Presidents Day Weekend, we host the Corvallis Contra Weekend, a full weekend of contradance, music and community.>> Contra calendarConcerts & House ConcertsThe CFS Concert series features regional, national, and international talent in a variety of locations around Corvallis.>> Concert CalendarBest Cellar CoffeehouseThe Best Cellar continues its mission of bringing great acoustic music to the community for a price anyone can afford. The Cellar has lots of fans and plenty of fine musicians that want to play there.Hoolyeh International FolkdancersThe Hoolyeh are resuming dancing every second Monday of the month, initially at 7 pm to 9 pm. The dances take place in the Social Hall of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Corvallis, 2945 NW Circle Blvd, Corvallis. Please email Denis White ([email protected]) to get on the email list.We also have weekly international folk dancing online led by Hoolyeh folks every Tuesday from 5 pm to 6:30 pm. Please contact Denis White ([email protected]) for details for joining zoom broadcasts.We have reunion dances once a year on the fourth or fifth Saturday in April.. The dances are usually about 5 hours in length, 7 to midnight. People can email Denis White ([email protected]) for a link to registration in the spring (March and April).Song Circles Click Song Circle for a few shared songs.Share a song, lead a song, or listen as we go round the circle. Song Circle is free and open to all who wish to participate (currently Zoom)Local FolkSing, play or just enjoy others at this acoustic open stage session, the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Corvallis Arts Center. Signups open at 6:30 and the performance starts at 7:00pm. Admission is free, donations are accepted to help pay for the venue.
