Ableism is the discrimination towards someone based on their abilities, often favouring those who do not have a disability and seeing less value in those that do. And it needs to stop. Over the past four years, Holland Bloorview’s Dear Everybody campaign has been confronting personal and systemic ableism and this year we’re calling on the community to join in. Dear Everybody, let’s talk about it.About the Dear Everybody campaignHolland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital’s Dear Everybody campaign is a national movement to end stigma and eliminate bias against people with disability. The campaign returns for the fifth year with powerful conversation starters, inspired by the kids and youth we serve, in an effort to talk about and #EndAbleism.
