HVRA of the state The Hazard, Vulnerability and Risk Assessment of the state is carried out by the SEOC. A pilot for finalizing a common methodology is nearing completion for 5 city corporations and Idukki district. Disaster risk reduction SEOC undertake research projects on topics relevant to disaster risk reduction. New buliding The SEOC is being scaled up into a state-of-the-art command and control centre with intelligent decision support system in this building designed for the purpose and to be established opposite Kanankakunnu palace, Thiruvananthapuram for which the Government has sanctioned about 8 crores in 2014.
