The furthest donation came from Matt who now lives in the Lansdale PA area. Above is a photo of what everyone donated this year.So Now What? Since it’s winter and there’s not much diving going on and the divers did such a nice job for the SPCA, I have a new challenge. I have connections to a person who is collecting plastic bags. You know, the ones you get when you go to the grocery store. The company she works for turns them in and they are recycled into park benches for different local communities. The plastic bags they are recycling are actually referred to as stretchy bags. So if your interested drop off your bags at the scuba center and we’ll get them turned in. So this new spot will be for things that come up in the last minute that I put on Facebook and our divers who don’t have Facebook could still see.Coffee Nights begin the First Friday of each month of winter in January Just In - Hoodies and T Shirts in sizes we were missing Sunken Treasure Scuba Center Recognition Sunken Treasure Scuba Center started in Jersey Shore back in 1978 and in just 3 short years received the distinction of being a PADI Training Facility. Then in 1984 we were recognized as a PADI 5 Star Training Facility. As we moved through the years we were recognized as a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center and a Green Star Facility. It is PADI’s most popular specialty course and with a little homework can be completed in one evening at Sunken Treasure Scuba Center. * Breathe less nitrogen when you dive * Longer bottom times * Work towards further qualifications and learn about your dive computer * Enhance your diving vacationsEnroll by 3/17/2022 and get your student kit so your ready for class on 3/25/2022 at 6:00pm. 12 for 12 - 2022 2021 was our first attempt at 12 for 12 and overall it went pretty well with a number of people completing the 12 dives. To say they had a feeling of satisfaction would be a understatement and it was interesting enough to try again this year. So what kind of diver are you? Below Average? Average? Above Average? Somewhere I heard the average diver dives ten times a year. That doesn't seem like many to me and if your diving less then that how can you keep your skill level up? So once again we are giving away a free T-Shirt to those who make 12 dives with us in 2021. Of course there's a catch! You must make at least one dive each month in 2021 and have one of our staff divers sign your log book. You need to understand this does not have to be a scheduled dive, just a local dive with one of our staff. So, first dive of the year is New Years day....Jay Street at 11:00am conditions permitting. DIVE TRAVEL 2022 Due to the Corona Virus we rescheduled our trip to Bonaire for April 16-23, 2022. If we get enough we’ll rent another condo so if you’re interested let me know before Buddy Dive sells out. We need a $200.00 deposit to hold your space. Completing Your Open Water Course Please remember that you have only 12 months to complete open water training dives to complete your certification or you will be required to take a scuba review (cost $39.95). As time nears you can call the store to make arrangements to do your dives. Group training dives during the summer June 1st thru August 31st are $45.00/dive and $55.00/dive from September 1st thru May 31st. Please call or email us about one week before the desired dates. If these dates don't work you can schedule dives by appointment. Cost is $50/dive in the summer and $60/dive in the winter. All equipment needed for these dives is included in the cost.
