In addition to the seven hot meals we serve each week, we distribute bagged lunches and dinners out of our truck across Oakland. East Bay Food Not Bombs is passionate about food justice and supporting our community. We can always use volunteers and donations!Since the start of the Covid-19 crisis, we’ve been particularly short on volunteers. Many of our longtime folks are older and have had to take a break from regular volunteering. We particularly need cooks, people to serve, and people to clean up. We’re taking social distancing seriously and request that you wear a mask. Many other organizations that normally provide food to the unhoused are not operating right now, so it’s more important than ever that we are able to serve meals seven times a week and distribute food to curbside communities.
