Official web site for the Ecartis (formerly Listar) Modular Listserver/Mailing ListManager HomeInformationFeature ListDev HistoryDownloadBug DatabaseCode RepositoryChangelogLaunchpadSupportMailing ListsConfig VariablesDocumentationWelcome to the official homepage for the Ecartis Listserver / Mailing ListManager. Ecartis is a open-source (GNU License) software package thatadministers mailing lists (similar to Majordomo and Listserv). Take alook at Ecartis' feature list, and see theadvantages it has over other similar Listserver packages. (anti-spamhooks, ability to strip down MIME messages and remove their attachments, virtual hosts, just to name a few). A source tarball will be back online in the next few days;we are rebuilding. The source will also be uploaded to github, butif anyone has a mirror of the CVS, I would prefer to import that. Pleaselet me know at jtrigg (at) ecartis (dot) net.Outside user code submissions are welcomed, as well. We wouldlove it if other people felt interested enough in this project tocontribute code or documentation or anything. :) Latest News| Last Updated: 4th February 2015Updates, finally! | 2013/07/07 -- RevenantI have finally updated the side menus and the downloads page to point towhere things are now. More to come soon hopefully.Back online | 2013/07/07 -- RevenantThe site is back from the grave, on a new domain (since the domain transferthat had been slated to occur at the end of 2010 failed). I will be workingto revive this project; other helpers are welcome. The basic site at themoment is a static mirror of an old copy of ecartis.org which was still onthe web (at an IP address which no longer has a public hostname, but wastardis.ecartis.org).Patching more buffer overflows | 2003/08/20 -- TARDISThanks to Timo Sirainen, another security patch was commited to the CVS treeand is available in the latest snapshots. More details can be found here. "We have docs!" | 2003/05/07 -- TARDISThanks to Matt of the Long Red Hair, we now have some documentation available. We know this has been theone area where Ecartis has been sorely lacking, so hopefully this is one step in filling that gap.NOTICE: Security bug is LSG/2 | 2003/02/28 -- TARDISThe Ecartis Core Team has been made aware of a design flaw in LSG/2 (The web interface to Ecartis) where a person could change the password to access the web interface of any other user. This has been fixed in CVS and is in the latest snapshot. NOTE: This ONLY affects sites that use LSG/2. New Ecartis web site launched | 2002/09/07 -- TARDISWe are finally launching the new website for Ecartis, and retiring the old listar.org domain/web presence (as you may find that it's no longer reachable). cvs.ecartis.org move & restoral of CVSweb access | 2001/11/22 -- TARDIScvs.ecartis.org was successfully relocated from the Netherlands to a box here in the US, and as a bonus, a web server and CVSweb was installed on the same box, so Ecartis now has CVSweb access again. (it was previously lost in the disk crash of 2000)Web Server Move | 2001/11/20 -- TARDISJust a FYI: This is on the new server, a Athlon powered speed demon. :)Yes, we are alive and kicking...! | 2001/11/08 --TARDISNo we are not dead, but the project is continuing under a newname: EcartisYou can get the latest Ecartis snapshots here. The Ecartis Project - © 1998-2003 by Noderunner Computing, 2013 by James K.
