To give this mission both substance and form, eH.NL operates as a ‘broker’ for exchanging information and providing opportunities for discussion and collaboration.eH.NL has three primary tasks:to function as a network that defines a shared strategy, and works together as a lobby to promote digital humanities and social sciences amongst research policy makers and funders;to harness the insights and results of the research conducted by eH.NL partners in order to promote collaboration with stakeholders, such as ICT companies, creative industries, policy makers and GLAMs;to act as an information broker, exchanging information about developments in digital humanities and social sciences, e.g. funding calls, conferences and other activities; matchmaking for network members looking for research partners; profiling the research and education activities of members. This will primarily be realised via the website and newsletter. In addition, eHumanities.NL undertakes the following activities:provides a forum to discuss new ideas and initiatives, via brainstorm sessions and symposia, without the eH.NL becoming responsible for the full development of such ideas. This will in part be facilitated via meetings of the eH.NL to be held twice a year, and on other occasions when necessary;collaborates with related groups and initiatives such as CLARIAH and the NLeSC, in order to raise awareness of digital humanities and social sciences, and to increase take-up of the CLARIAH and other infrastructures;represents Dutch-based scholars engaged in digital scholarship in international fora (e.g. DH BeNeLux, EADH and ADHO)takes responsibility for shared activities and initiatives if a clear niche is identified. When appropriate, a temporary Working Group (WG) will be established to undertake an inventory and further develop the group’s activities.Universities and organizations participating at the eHumanities.NL initiative:.flex_column.av-av_one_full-a974e3aa20ed9d086663f5a5a09a520a{border-radius:0px 0px 0px 0px;-webkit-border-radius:0px 0px 0px 0px;-moz-border-radius:0px 0px 0px 0px;} CLARIAH, CLICKNL, CWI – Research in Mathematics and Computer Science,  DANS – Data Archiving and Networked Services, Delft University of Technology, Dutch Language Institute, Erasmus University Rotterdam, Fryske Akademy, HuygensING Institute, International Institute of Social History, KITLV, Koninklijke Bibliotheek, Leiden University Centre for Digital Humanities, National Demographic Research Institute of the Netherlands, Netherlands eScience Centre, Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision, Netherlands Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies, Radboud University, SURF, University of Twente, Tilburg University, University of Amsterdam, University of Groningen, Utrecht University, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.© 2022 - eHumanities.NL TwitterParticipantsGovernanceContactScroll to top
