I plan to attend a 4 Year university, and study Political Science. I currently am a member of S.F Achievers for young black men, and am a member of my student council. I also enjoy listening to music and playing soccer! Darien SngoeunMy name is Darien Sngoeun, I'm from San Francisco, California and currently go to San Francisco State University as a freshman. Some of my hobbies are playing video games, basketball, and biking. I'm majoring in Computer Science to become a game developer or game programmer and can't wait to develop my first ever video game. Maya SimonMy name is Maya Simon. I'm from San Francisco and currently attend UC Berkeley as a first year. When I'm not studying or spending time with friends, you can find me in the gym, going on hikes, or participating in events for the Middle Eastern North African Club on campus. I dream of using my degree to start my own business and teach other low income, first generation students how to do the same. Michela SeronelloMy name is Michela Seronello and I am from Oakland, California. I went to Bishop O’Dowd High School and I am now attending Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo as an environmental management and protection major with a concentration in wildlife biology. I aspire to work in wildlife conservation and make an impact as an environmental scientist. I like to spend my free time in nature and I enjoy hiking, drawing, and biking. Wendoly AguilarMy name is Wendoly Aguilar, I graduated from George Washington High School and am attending San Francisco City College. My dream is to become a nurse because I enjoy taking care of children and want to help people. It has been difficult for me because I came from Guatemala 3 years ago and am still learning English. I am the first in my family to go to college and I want to make my parents proud. Helping Students SucceedWe believe in the power of education and its everlasting impact. His goal is to become a role model for anyone who thinks they have hit rock bottom in life. Minh-Yahn GobarMinh-Yahn Gobar is a high school senior from Oakland and wants to study child psychology in college. Her goal is to attend a 4 year college and achieve financial success so that she can give back to her mother. Samaya LewisSamaya Lewis is from Oakland and currently attends UCLA. She has participated in the Black Student Union Club, Polynesian Club, and volunteered for seniors, children, and people without homes. Maeket GebersamualMaeket Gebersamual was born in Ethiopia and now lives in San Francisco. Her goal is to become a social entrepreneur and work on establishing businesses that solve social problems. Nancy OoiOriginally from Malaysia, Nancy Ooi moved to the US at a young age. She currently resides in Oakland and would like to attend a 4-year college and major in a STEM related field.
