This action plan will be developed by state-of-the-art reviews, identification of possible and relevant societal developments and alternatives to transport. The focus of GOAL is on land-based transport. Explore the motivation behind the project, the chosen approach and results as they are generated on the following pages. As we are very interested in an extensive exchange with the research community, industrial designers and interested persons, please feel free to get in touch with us any time.+ + + + Final Action Plan available + + + + (final version 2013-09, PDF, 7.111 KB) This action plan presents seven research actions that need to be addressed because of the considerable transport challenges we face by the growth of the older people population in the coming decades. The six GOAL workshops were very successful and the results of the discussions during these events were taken into account to finalise this action plan. EU-project TRACY: International final conference The FP7 EU-project TRACY "TRAnsport needs for an ageing soCietY" (website) will be finished at the end of 2013. On behalf of the TRACY consortium we have the pleasure to invite you to the final international conference, which will be held on Thursday, 7th of November 2013, from 1:30 to 6:00, at the Committee of the Regions in Brussels. Please find here the invitation letter including preliminary program and registration form. They ask for your registration latest by Tuesday, 15 October 2013. During the GOAL project there was an ongoing exchange between GOAL and the TRACY project. The collaboration between the two projects consists of exchange and mutual usage of academic findings, participation in project meetings and presentation of results and the aim to achieve a coordinated strategy. Closure Project Meeting in Amsterdam The GOAL project partners come altogether on a nice boat trip through Amsterdam. The main topic during this final general assembly was about the final action plan and its changes after the discussions at the final workshop in Vienna. This new and final action plan is now available (see above). We like to thank all supporting partners and further experts for all comments and support during the project.
