The Kitty Inu Token ($kitty) is an ERC20 utility token that connects project applications and content. The 9VRSE consists of beautifully rendered blockchain games, blockchain-based AI, 3D digital personas, episodic content, and virtual social worlds. In the 9VRSE, users can play, experience, explore, and monetize their content through the use of the Kitty Inu token. The project was inspired by the strength of the “meme-coin” and NFT communities as well as the observed need for community interoperability. Within the 9VRSE, the Kitty Project is building fun virtual spaces where different NFT and ‘meme-coin’ communities can come together and interact as their respective avatars/digital personas. We intend to establish our first play-and-earn game, KittyKart, as a model for the successful design and implementation of visually stunning and fun games built around the idea of continuity of digital identity and community interoperability. The 9VRSE is a thematic metaverse connected by an underlying kawaii aesthetic, inspired by popular meme-coins and NFT collections, and a digital currency, the ERC20 Kitty Inu token. The theme provides visual continuity throughout the environments and virtual worlds of our ecosystem, and the currency facilitates interoperability between their digital economies. The 9VRSE breaks down into five development stages, with each contributing to one aspect of the formation of a complete metaverse: Play-and-earn gaming Play-and-earn (P&E) gaming is a version of play-to-earn which acknowledges that recreation and the potential to earn are equally valuable to the gameplay experience. The P&E model will be used throughout the ecosystem to align the game development process with the interests of the user’s in-game experience. The first P&E game that will be released as part of the 9VRSE is KittyKart. Avatar NFT series The native avatar series establishes a native digital identity for 9VRSE which can be carried across all environments and digital worlds. Future upgrades to the avatar series will be released, including the addition of artificial intelligence. Virtual environments and social worlds Virtual environments and social worlds will offer users digital spaces where they can create, interact, and participate in the digital economy. These spaces will feature interaction between virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality. AI NFTs Artificially intelligent NFTs, also known as iNFTs, bring static images to life with interactive, intelligent, sense-making elements. The AI upgrade to our avatar series will offer holders enhanced experiences with their digital identities through added features such as personality traits, preferences, and the ability to create their own content. Scripted animated content, music and event (episodic content) Episodic content, a form of storytelling, will connect users through both interactive and noninteractive genres, such as scripted animations, music, events, and more. AI features will be applied to animated content and more to enhance user experience. The Kitty Inu Token ($kitty) is the native currency of the 9VRSE, and the only way to participate in the various digital economies within its virtual worlds. Due to its fixed supply, the token is inherently deflationary. All current and future marketplaces within the 9VRSE’s virtual worlds will transact with $kitty, thereby driving the demand for the token. No Team Tokens nor Private Sale Tokens There are no team token allocations. The project is funded via the token protocol which implements an 8% fee on transfer events in the smart contract. This fee applies to all buys, sells, and between wallet transfers. It does not apply to bridge transactions (wrapping the ethereum token to binance smart chain or unwrapping). The fee will be gradually reduced to 0% as the ecosystem development progresses and other revenue streams become available to support the continued development and maintenance of the project. Deflationary Tokenomics The $kitty token has a fixed supply capped at 1 Trillion tokens. There is no ability for new issuance of the token. The token utility is to serve as a currency that enables interoperability between the digital economies of platforms built within the 9VRSE. As usage of the platforms in the 9VRSE increases, the token circulating supply will decrease over time. This is due to the usage of token as a way to discourage nefarious automated user behavior (antibot). The 9VRSE adopts a proof of humanity validation framework when engaging with core functionality that is deemed as high risk for automated usage. Similar to how ‘captcha’ functions in web2.0, users will be asked to provide a negligible amount of $kitty token to verify they are human before interacting with a given feature. The amount provided by the user is removed from the circulation in perpetuity via the validation protocol transferring the tokens to a dead wallet. As aforementioned, the 9VRSE’s web3.0 captcha will only be applied to functionality that is flagged as susceptible to bot behavior. One example of a planned implementation of this feature is in the ‘build mode’ in the KittyKart game marketplace where users apply earned assets to their kart for usage in the game & ‘mint’ their earned assets. ‘Lazy minting’ is employed via game play, where earned NFTs are distributed via ‘vouchers’ that require users to enter the build mode to redeem. To discourage automated players from engaging with the game, earning vouchers for NFTs, and redeeming them in the build mode - a small amount of $kitty token is required to interact with the builder. If automation is suspected, the builder will adjust the amount of $kitty required to engage to a no longer negligible amount (an amount that no human would reasonably agree to) that will deter automation by making it a very costly endeavour. As we expand our digital platform offering in the 9VRSE to beyond that of just KittyKart, we will continue to identify functionality that is at risk for automation and implement our web3.0 captcha mechanism there as well. As usage of the platforms in the 9VRSE increases, the token demand will increase. The $kitty token is the currency of the 9VRSE. Therefore, all virtual marketplaces in the 9VRSE platforms transact only with the $kitty token. All 9VRSE platforms are designed in a manner that prioritizes the promotion and maintenance of a healthy digital economy. Platform implementations take careful consideration of the balance that must be achieved between asset inflation and deflation, and the need to encourage volume in the digital marketplaces (which impacts the demand of the $kitty token and overall user experience). For example, in KittyKart, there is no primary sale of assets - all those available on the game marketplace were earned via game play, enabling asset supply to increase proportionately to the amount of play the game receives. Additionally, assets earned in the game are a combination of staple assets (always available to earn at unlimited supply) and seasonal/fixed supply assets. Once the entire supply of these seasonal assets has been distributed to those who have earned them via game play, KittyMart will become the only place to acquire them.
