Professional & Recreational Hockey Facilityin TorontoLakeshore Arena Corporation owns and operates the Ford Performance Centre, which is a 272,000 sq. ft. recreation facility in Etobicoke, ON. The Ford Performance Centre is the official practice facility for the NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs and, their AHL affiliate, the Toronto Marlies. It is also the home of the Hockey Hall of Fame D.K. (Doc) Seaman Hockey Resource Centre, Hockey Canada’s Eastern Regional Office, and the NHL Alumni, along with numerous other sport-related businesses and community tenants.The Ford Performance Centre hosts many national and international events and it is recognized as the premier ice facility in the Greater Toronto Area and sets the standard for training and hockey performance worldwide. The facility also offers ice rentals, leagues, drop-in programs, party bookings, tournaments, and special events.Our HistoryOn September 8, 2009, the Ford Performance Centre (previously referred to as the Mastercard Centre for Hockey Excellence) opened in partnership with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, the Hockey Hall of Fame, the Lakeshore Lions Club, the City of Toronto, and the Toronto District School Board. As of September 2011, the facility is owned and operated by Lakeshore Arena Corporation, a City of Toronto controlled Corporation.The mission of Lakeshore Arena Corporation is to ensure that the Ford Performance Centre operates in the Greater Toronto Area for both professional and recreational athletes alike. You too can skate on the same rink as the pros.Toronto Maple Leafs Practice SessionsToronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Marlies practice sessions at the facility are closed to the public. Our facility team has no control over, nor do we release details regarding, any professional practice schedule or activity.Players are not available before or after practice sessions.
