More than 1300 people tracked their steps, covering an estimated 33,500 miles!The schools that participated in #OaklandWalks serve a majority of students from low-income families and traditionally don’t have the ability to raise a lot of extra funding from PTAs.That’s why the Oakland Public Education Fund was so excited to be able to donate nearly $110,000 to 15 Oakland public schools to recognize their amazing accomplishments.Thank YouBig thanks to all of our students, staff, family members, and community partners for making Oakland Walks 4 Schools a huge success!THANK YOU to Niantic for your financial supportTHANK YOU to the Golden State Warriors for donating a signed Juan Toscano-Anthony jersey that we gave to one of our top walkersTHANK YOU to Blue Shield of California employees for walking with us and adding an additional 500,000 steps to our total.
