+7 (903) 720-72-59 Interregional public organization «Russian Musicians Union» (RMU) Created only in 2016, the RMU is to become a response to the abundance of musicians’ rights infringements in Russia and demand for the appropriate protection of our professional rights. In fact, musicians nowadays are losing a considerable amount of money annually, not getting any indemnities for the widespread unauthorized use of their pieces. We are to change it! Our goal: representation and protection of social labor rights and legitimate interests of musical performers. Our principles: voluntary membership, equality of all the members and free exit from membership; solidarity and unity in work of RMU and its bodies; transparency; mutual recognition and cooperation with other trade unions. Our activities: interaction with the Government on the issues of protection of IP rights of musical performers; participation in social politics; protection of performers’ rights and interests; collective debates and collective agreements; peaceful resolution of collective labor disputes. The RMU does its best to accumulate its forces to make us heard and be given the due respect. The fight against multiple infringements will provide benefits not only for those recognized, but also for the debutants.
