The Lantern Project believes in building and sustaining strong partnerships, being community-centered, and focusing on equity to guide us toward liberation. In the words of Audre Lorde, “there is no such thing as a single-issue struggle because we do not live single-issue lives”. Our work at The Lantern Project is grounded by the intersectionality of oppression and the collective impact that harm has on all of us. We lean into the tension of working with and within systems, striving to move forward as a community, together. True transformation will only be achieved through our collective duty to disrupt oppressive systems; we are committed to illuminating the path towards prevention, intervention, and ultimately transformative justice. PREVENTIONYouth Engagement ProgramsWe are committed to providing upstream prevention programming that is effective, accurate, and impactful. Through Trafficking Prevention for Schools, Youth Leadership Board, and workshops, we provide the tools that young people need to help create safer and healthier communities.
