About Us Our missionThe mission of The Rowan Center is to provide counseling and support services to victims of sexual assault and to eliminate sexual violence through community-wide education programs. Counseling We respect the right of each person to choose their own path in the healing process. We offer up to 12 free individual counseling sessions to primary and secondary victims of sexual violence, ages 14+, in English, Spanish and Haitian-Creole. Learn more Support Groups We offer a variety of support groups that are open to all primary and secondary victims of sexual violence, ages 18+, who are residents of our service area, or individuals referred to us by other member centers. Our education curriculum is designed from the knowledge that education and awareness can prevent and/or reduce sexual violence in our communities. Learn more Volunteering Our volunteers are at the heart of the work we do at The Rowan Center. Volunteers can make a difference by working directly with clients on our 24-hour hotline, tabling at community awareness fairs, or helping in our office or at fundraising events.
