Metallbau Service Landtechnik Gütertransporte Die Geschichte Das Unternehmen Adolf Tobias GesmbH hat eine sehr lange und traditionsreiche Geschichte. Die Schlosserei wurde 1890 als Einzelunternehmen in Kierling durch Adolf Tobias I gegründet. Im Jahr 1900 kaufte er ein Grundstück in Kierling und begann mit dem Bau der Schlosserei .Im Jahr 1921 übernahm der erst 16-jährige Adolf Tobias II, nach abgeschlossener Gesellenprüfung, das Unternehmen. Um mit den Wiener Schlosserbetrieben konkurrieren zu können, wurde 1926 in Floridsdorf ein Stadtbüro eingerichtet. 1928 wurde ein Flechtautomat angeschafft und dadurch eine Spezialisierung auf Maschendrahtgitter ermöglicht. Dies war ein großer Durchbruch für das Unternehmen.1935 wurde das Einzelunternehmen in eine OG umgewandelt. Um sich vom Drahtkartell unabhängig zu machen, bauten die Eigentümer 1937 eine Drahtfabrik in Kierling. 1938 suchte man die Zusammenarbeit mit einem Unternehmen in Gundelfingen a.d. Donau und bekam einen Vertretungsvertrag für Ostmark, Böhmen und Mähren. Durch diese Zusammenarbeit spezialisierte sich das Unternehmen auf Faltschiebetore.
