Residential treatment differs from boarding schools where the primary focus is on providing environmental structure, some therapy along with academics.At Trinity, we utilize a holistic approach and treat the entire person. Individualized treatment approaches for each client includes therapy for her MIND (mental health), BODY (physical health) and SOUL (spiritual health).If your daughter has been unsuccessful at outpatient therapy, has had past inpatient treatments in the emergency room or a psychiatric facility, or currently is in a crisis where you worry about her safety or the safety of others, residential treatment is the appropriate level of care.What are the ages of the girls you treat? Trinity is licensed to treat 12-17-year-old girls.Are there immediate openings available? With Trinity being a small residential treatment center with 14 beds, we are usually full and have a waiting list. We utilize evidenced-based group therapies and individual therapies, along with integrating the ever-so-important family therapy. Some examples of the evidenced based therapies utilized in our therapy sessions are: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), and Seeking Safety (a specific program for treating trauma and substance abuse in adolescent women.)Your daughter will participate in individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy, under the supervision of a licensed professional counselor on a daily basis. She will also be seen by a psychiatrist for medication management on a weekly basis.Are parents and family members involved in the therapy? Our troubled teen treatment program focuses on the Family System as our main treatment approach. An important part to the Trinity Program takes place with you at home. While your daughter is learning and growing with us, you too are learning and growing at home. Our staff helps you examine your effectiveness as persons, partners and parents. Success in each role makes a healthier family. We look at your responses to the problems in your life. We help you identify your problems and help you outline new solutions. We offer guidance and clear strategies in a compassionate way.How long does the treatment program last?There is no set determined treatment length. Each patient and family is unique and different therefore your daughter’s treatment plan will be individualized to promote her success in treatment. We want time to focus on what’s going on in her life and give her one-on-one treatment in a family-like setting. Every girl’s treatment plan will include a combination of individual, group, and family therapy.How do I start the process to admit my daughter? The very first step is to provide your insurance information so we can verify your daughter’s specific mental health benefits. Once Trinity verifies her benefits our admission team will be in contact with you usually within the same day to explain your insurance benefits and the next steps to proceed with admission.How can I pay for treatment? Through commercial private insurance, or if you do not have insurance through personal contribution. We are in-network with many commercial insurance companies. We do not accept Medicaid or State Insurance.How can I find out how much my insurance will cover for my teens stay? Trinity Teen Solutions is an In Network and Out of Network Provider accepting most major insurance plans. Just to name a few we are happy to work with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, GEHA, CIGNA, Tricare West, First Health, First Choice Health, Health Partners, and a variety of other insurance companies. Unfortunately, we do not accept Medicaid or state health insurance.What payment methods are accepted? You may pay by certified check, direct deposit or credit card.What if I don’t have insurance coverage? You can either secure your own financing or Contact Prosper HealthCare Lending about low interest loans for mental and behavior health. Prosper HealthCare Lending is the premier financing company in the behavioral health industry.Should I present more than 1 insurance policy if I have multiple ones? It is important to submit your primary insurance and secondary insurance so we can coordinate benefits and know up front who is your primary insurance provider. We have experienced a higher rate of success than our competitors working with young girls, even girls who have had multiple treatment failures. It is important to understand that there is no magic wand in mental health treatment, the success and failures are directly related to your daughter’s personal motivation for change and how supportive her family is in her outcomes. Therefore, we do not offer a guarantee.What items should my teen bring with her? Since most of our families are in crisis to make the admission process easier we supply all of your daughters clothing and personal hygiene products. She will need to bring a 7-day supply of her current medications and any prescribed personal care products, glasses, contacts etc.Are there any restrictions on what she can bring? Yes, contraband or anything that can be used to harm oneself or others is prohibited.
