Initiated with financial support from Berta and Frank Gehry and the California Arts Council, Turnaround Arts: California is supported by the Herb Alpert Foundation, the Stuart Foundation, the California State Legislature, the Eisner Foundation, The Hearst Foundation, Facebook, Jane Fonda, the Goldhirsh Foundation, David Hockney, MasterClass, the Rosenthal Family Foundation, Elizabeth Segerstrom, the Segerstrom Family Foundation, Evan Spiegel, and Susan Steinhauser and Daniel Greenberg. Coach partners include Arts Education Connection San Diego, Collaborations: Teachers and Artists, Creative Coaching for Arts  & Equity, Every Day Arts for Special Education, P.S. ARTS, Sunset Center, The Good Word Education Consulting, Alex Karas, Sandy Seufert, and Dr. Akida Kissane Long. Collaborators include The Actors’ Gang, Beat the Odds®, Focus 5 Inc., Get Lit: Words Ignite, KID smART, Studio Pathways, and Visual Thinking Strategies.WHERE WE WORKTurnaround Arts: California helps connect partner schools with regional arts networks, including community arts organizations, teaching artists, arts and cultural institutions, performance venues, professional learning experts, and higher education professionals in order to build community support systems that lead to sustainable change.Some highlights of our shared impact and reach in the recent 2021/22 school year:During the 2022/23 school year, Turnaround Arts: California is partnering with 22 schools spread from our state’s southern border to our northern coast, with schools in urban, suburban, and rural communities.
