Thanks to rapid digitization in all sectors, a huge amount of data is readily available for product managers in any field. So why doesn’t this data leave a mark on the products they create? To answer this question, we did some desk research, signed up with mentors, and organized user interviews. We found that the fields of user research and product design are growing by high double digits, along with the software market. But, now that user-research tools are many and growing in number and products are still not working well, we’re convinced that there must be something wrong with the current research paradigms. By following the principles I’ve outlined in this article, you can improve the quality of your UX design solutions.UX Is Not Equal to UIUser-interface (UI) design is only one part of UX design. Improving a product or service’s UI design alone is not enough to optimize the user experience. The user interface is the space within which your target audience interacts with your brand. In contract, the user experience is the user’s emotional response to your product or service. By improving the user interface, you can make your product or service more usable and accessible to more people. However, this is not the totality of their experience when encountering your brand. Over 5.2 billion people around the world use the mobile Internet. These usage trends have caused a shift in UX design philosophy, bringing the smallest screens to the fore. Ecommerce sites that are striving for long-term success must prioritize the mobile experience. What Is Mobile-First Design?Mobile-first design is an approach to Web-site design and development that is based on a simple premise: initially creating digital products and services for the screens of mobile devices, then adapting them for the desktop. A creative UX designer is aware that UX design has the power to undermine the customer experience (CX), which means the way UX designers approach the design process should never be an afterthought.Usually, UX designers have no philosophical problem to solve because they are inherently curious and observant throughout the design process. In line with their philosophy, UX designers should still pay close attention to creating accessible, intuitive designs that solve common problems. That’s a 20% increase since just Q4 of 2015. Americans spend about 33% of that time on various social-media and messaging apps and feel more connected and engaged when using apps that provide a world-class user experience. So she downloads the app and tries using it to satisfy her need. But, once she installs the app, after using it for just a few minutes, she realizes that there are some odd bugs in the software that have caused a serious problem. She then blames herself for downloading a useless application that could have been completely disastrous for her. In other words, she becomes completely dissatisfied with the app she downloaded. So she uninstalls the app, then continues her search for another app that might satisfy her need. This is such a tragic story, right? Have you ever wondered why an app would be so complicated that it falls short of even basic usability? You might have. What if the same happens with the app you’re about to develop for your business? The app’s users would feel the same way Prasanna felt. Everything depends on the success of the design phase. When an app is structured in the right way, all other aspects of the design fall into place naturally and easily.
