It includes AZD1222, the vaccine co-invented by the University of Oxford and its spin-out company Vaccitech, which is licensed by AstraZeneca.As part of the ‘fill and finish’ stage of the manufacturing process, Wockhardt dispenses the manufactured vaccine substance into vials ready for distribution. The government has reserved one fill and finish production line for its exclusive use in order to guarantee the supply of vaccines required to fight COVID-19 in the UK.
